The Burlington Democratic Town Committee is hosting a candidates forum for the 4th Middlesex special election.

The candidates attending are State Representative Sean Garballey (currently representing the 23rd Middlesex District), Ms. Cindy Friedman (Chief of Staff to the late Senator Donnelly), and Ms. Mary Ann Stewart (Member of the Massachusetts Board of Elementary and Secondary Education).

After a brief introduction, a series of questions will be posed by the moderator on a range of topics for each candidate to answer. Candidates will be given these questions ahead of time to achieve the most effective and enlightened discussion on topics posed.

Candidates will share their views on a wide range of subjects. Candidates will have a chance to make their case as to why their experience, education and training makes them the right person to be elected as our State Senator. Other subjects to be discussed will include (but not limited to): revenue shortfall in Massachusetts, economic development, transportation infrastructure, raising revenue, new taxes, renewable energy industry, housing for seniors, opioid abuse issue, natural resource protection, early screening for dyslexia, State mandated testing, health care, charter schools, climate change and communication to constituents.

Following the forum question discussion period, the audience will be given an opportunity to ask questions.

All community residents and business community are invited to attend.
